Small Peppers Are Easy to Plant With a Few Quick Cuts
When cooking with hot peppers, it’s a good idea to remove those burning seeds before tossing them in. Here’s a super-fast method that bypasses the seeding process entirely so you can get started cooking and eating faster.
This method, as explained by J. Kenji Lopez-Alt of Serious Eats , is very similar to the way you can quickly sow bell peppers, only on a smaller scale. Cut off the top of the pepper and then the bottom. Place the peppers on the now flat bottom and chop up the seeds, leaving the seeds and their capsaicin . You can do this with jalapenos, anaheim and poblanos, but it’s not ideal for smaller ones like serrano or habanero.
