Cassette Is a Voice Recorder That Makes It Easy to Organize, Share and Transcribe Conversations
You have tons of voice recorder apps for iPhone , but many of them don’t work very well. Cassette offers a good organization chart, robust recording functions, and a handy but expensive transcription function if you need it.
The main advantage of Cassette as a voice recorder is its organization capabilities. When you first go to record something, you can create a new project or use an old one. From there, each entry goes into this project, where you can bookmark as you go to help you organize later. You can also add time-stamped notes at any point in the recording, making it easier to find something later.
The app also has a built-in transcription function, although you have to subscribe to an expensive subscription to use it after a 30 minute free trial. While you will have to pay extra for the transcriptions, they are all automatically performed on your device, so you don’t have to worry about them being uploaded to some random server. Transcriptions are helpful, especially when you consider that you can view your recording later. However, if you don’t need transcriptions, you can use the app for free.
Despite the name, Cassette looks more like a laptop than an outdated voice recorder. If you’ve dreamed of a sound recording app with solid organization but with a clear focus on audio only, Cassette is worth a look.
