Adafruit Arcade Hood Makes It Easy to Create Your Own Arcade Machine With Raspberry Pi
Everyone seems to be keen to create their own little retro game console with a Raspberry Pi, but one hurdle is connecting your own joystick. To fix this, Adafrut created a $ 15 Arcade Bonnet.
The Arcade Bonnet is about the same size as the Raspberry Pi Zero, so you can easily connect up to six arcade buttons, a joystick, and speakers. Basically, you just lay the hood on top of the Pi’s GPIO, plug in your buttons and joystick, and you’re ready to go, no complicated soldering other than GPIO required. If you are anxious to create your own little arcade console, this should make the process a little easier.
