Turn on Extensions in Incognito Mode for a Safer and Easier Browsing Experience
Chrome: If you want to visit a website without being tracked, in incognito mode you can log out and prevent tracking. However, by default, you lose your extensions. Luckily, you can turn them on.
Chrome blocks extensions in incognito mode because it can’t guarantee that your extensions aren’t tracking your data. At the end of the day, you’re going incognito will not be specifically tracked. However, some extensions can actually help your privacy or just make your browsing life a little easier. To use the extension in incognito mode, follow these steps:
- Click the menu button in Chrome.
- Go to More Tools> Extensions.
- In the new tab that opens, scroll through the list to find the extension you want to enable in incognito mode.
- Click the Allow in Incognito Mode button.
The next time you open the incognito tab, your extension should be waiting for you there. You probably shouldn’t include all the extensions you have. After all, there is a reason Chrome disables them. However, for the few you really need and trust, feel free to include them.
