Use Masking Tape to Make a Hole in the Belt Where You Want It.
If you have an awl or even a large nail at home, you can easily poke an extra hole in your belt. If you want it to blend in with the others, create a template using masking tape.
As shown on the ManMade DIY website, to create a belt hole template, place a piece of masking tape along the belt over the hole. Use a nail or even a pen to poke the tape through the holes in the belt. Once you’ve done this for all of the holes, remove the tape and slide it down the belt one hole. The last hole in the tape should line up exactly where your new hole should be.
Once you have a template, you can use a leather punch, power drill, or even an awl or nail and hammer to punch a new hole. This is a relatively simple modification of the skin that allows you to keep your favorite belt even if it starts to loosen too much. Check out the post below to learn how to make another belt hole.
