Google Maps Now Lets You Organize Your Favorite Places Into Lists That You Can Share
If you wanted to store your location on Google Maps, for years your only option was to add a star icon. Google is now improving this process by allowing places to be added to personalized lists.
In the new Google Maps, the star icon has been changed to a Save button. You can still find all your favorite places in a list called “Starred Places”. From now on, you can also add places to your lists. Google already provides you with Favorite, Want to Go, and Restaurants lists, but you can add your own lists as well. You can even share the created lists by clicking the Share button.
The update is currently rolling out, although users who have local expert status on Google Maps may already have noticed these features. Google has been testing the lists for about six months , but is finally ready to share them with everyone.
