Restart Your Kindle From Time to Time
Is your Kindle sluggish? Seems like it takes a little longer to change the page than it used to? This does not mean that there is a technical problem. So it’s time to reboot it.
Anyone who has ever used a computer is well aware of “turn it off and on again ,” IT jokes, but some people told me they were thinking about buying a new Kindle because their computer was getting “slow.” It seems silly to even mention it because it should be common, but Amazon hides the restart option so deeply in the menu that it’s a troubleshooting tip worth mentioning.
So, the next time your Kindle gets a little slow, whether it wakes up forever or the pages are slowly turning, restart it. In the main menu, press ” Menu” , then ” Settings” . In the settings menu, tap Menu again, then tap Restart .
