Build Your Own Raspberry Pi Laptop Using the Official Screen and This 3D Printed Case

We’ve seen several different portable Pi designs , but on Thingiverse, Surferboy put together a laptop that looks pretty good looking and is easier to build.

Along with the Raspberry Pi, this project uses an official 7-inch touchscreen display , RII keyboard and touchpad , and a host of other smaller details. It’s all packaged in a Surferboy 3D printed case and can be assembled with just a few basic soldering. The case alone is expensive: it costs about $ 100 to print via Print a Thing , but it’s a pretty smart little project nonetheless. Go to Thingiverse for a list of parts and all the files you need.
