Frozen Banana Cannot Be Peeled
Ideally, bananas should be peeled before freezing, but the world is not an ideal place and I have been known to lazily toss an unpeeled banana into the freezer. I thought this meant waiting for it to melt before peeling it off, but it turns out there is an easy way to peel a frozen banana; you just need a knife.
Click the link below to watch the tutorial video, but it’s really just a matter of following these three simple steps:
- Cut off the ends of the banana and cut it in half.
- Make cuts along the sides of each half.
- Run a thin knife blade under the edge of the skin; it should come off easily.
Once the fruit is free of the frozen rind, you can toss it into a smoothie, dip it in chocolate, or (obviously) bake banana bread.
