Turn up the Flavor of Homemade Steak for Dinner by Preheating the Plate
Restaurants use a clever trick to make their steaks appear better than the ones you cook at home, and it’s all about the plate. You can easily use the same trick at home and make your already great steak dinner even better.
As Brittany Burke of The Kitchn explains , reheating the plate before serving keeps this perfectly cooked , medium-rare steak cool after the first few bites. Your steak stays warm longer, which means it stays incredibly tasty longer. According to Burke, the best way to preheat your plates is to use the oven. Reduce the setting to the lowest setting, place a couple of plates in the oven on a baking sheet and let them roast for a few minutes. You can also place multiple plates on the hotplates and let the heat radiate to the middle plates that you intend to use. Either way, you will have a steak that stays warm until you swallow every last bite.
