Make Delicious Sour Smoothies Every Time With This Simple Formula
Given the current craft cocktail vibe, one could easily think of shaking or stirring the libation. Fortunately, these are not all spoons and droppers; there is one kind of cocktail that can be made beautiful and balanced every time: sour.
As cocktail expert Audrey Saunders explains in the link below, there is a simple formula for all sour (family or drinks that include margarita, stroller and daiquiri):
Sour Formula: 2 ounce liquor + 3/4 ounce sour + 3/4 ounce sweet
Lime and lemon juice are common acidic ingredients, but tart grapefruit juice or pure cranberry juice will also work. When it comes to sweetness, you have plenty of room to play, but simple syrup, honey, and just about any sweet fruit juice (especially pineapple) are good starting points.
Once you’ve collected all the ingredients, simply mix everything in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake until it’s very cold outside (about twenty seconds). Pour into a beautiful glass, decorate and enjoy.
