If You Purchased a DVD Drive Computer Between 2003 and 2008, You May Be Eligible for $ 10.
If you purchased a computer with a DVD drive between April 1, 2003 and December 31, 2008, you may be eligible to claim $ 10 in a class action lawsuit.
The class action lawsuit began seven years ago when Sony, NEX, Panasonic and Hitachi were accused of conspiring to inflate optical drives. Now, if you’ve purchased a computer these days, you are eligible for free cash, but there is a catch.
First, only about half of the US is eligible, including: Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New Mexico. York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wisconsin.
Secondly, this is just a reconnaissance operation. They’re collecting names and emails from people right now, but you don’t need to prove in any way that you owned one of these discs, so it’s unclear when and how you will receive your payout. At the moment, it is easy to file a claim online and it will take about a minute of your time.
