Google Home Can Help You Find Lost Items
Google Home is a useful assistant in everything from finding recipes to managing smart home devices . Another useful feature? You can use it to remember where you placed important items.
CNET’s Taylor Martin shows you how. In the example below, Martin says to Google Home, “Ok Google, remember that I put my passport in the bottom drawer of the filing cabinet.” From there, you can simply ask Google, “Where is my passport?” and will receive the information you asked to remember.
You can use it for almost anything from invoices to tax documents and keys. Obviously, if you tell him to remember where you put your keys, you will have to add this information every time you put them (in which case you will probably remember it anyway), but this is a fun feature to try. For security reasons, you probably want Google Home to eventually forget this information, and you can simply instruct it to “forget what I told you about my passport.”
