The Rest of the Day: MacOS Will Bring the Night Shift
Night Shift, an iOS feature that changes the display color to a higher temperature at night, is coming to macOS. Since Microsoft will also add a similar feature in future versions of Windows, almost all major operating systems will have night mode built in. About this and much more in today’s news.
- Night Shift is currently being tested on the latest macOS developer beta, 10.12.4, with a public beta coming soon. The popular f.lux app has been the primary method for adjusting screen color temperature for years, and it was thought that it probably offered more subtle controls, perhaps becoming overkill for many. - Google is currently publicly testing Android Instant Apps. New software introduced last year at Google I / O allows certain applications to be used without actually installing them.
