The First Builds of Lineage OS, the Successor to CyanogenMod, Are Already Available
While CyanogenMod, the most popular custom ROM for Android , may be dead, its spirit lives on in Lineage OS . The first builds of this ROM are now available for the Nexus 6P, 5X and some other devices.
Over the weekend, the Lineage OS team uploaded the first few builds of the new ROM. It’s pretty sparse so far, but it includes several devices popular with custom ROM users:
- Nexus 5X
- Nexus 6P
- Moto G4 / G4 Plus
- Nextbit Robin
- Xiaomi Redmi 1S
The team also posted here a list of all the devices they plan to target . They have a long way to go before they reach this goal, but the ball is rolling.
