Turn the Pool Noodles Into Quiet Blocks Kids Can Play With
Every child has, plays and loves to add blocks, but a little peace and quiet is also a good thing. Use billiard noodles to make a set of quiet blocks that are just as fun to play with, but slightly quieter for the best of both worlds.
You will need pool noodles (you can use a broken one or an old one if you like), a serrated knife, and a ruler. Mark every two inches along the noodles, then cut the noodles at each mark using a mat or cutting board to protect the table. For variety, you can slice the noodles in different colors, cut the noodles into shapes (they will naturally be round), or cut thicker and thinner slices. As a result, you will get a set of blocks that make almost no noise when falling, they are not painful to step on and they are light.
