The Best Way to Eat Shrimp Cooked in Four Different Ways

Shrimp is a popular food, but even those who have eaten them before may have questions about how to go with different shrimp dishes. You need to know which dishes are best, how to clean them, and when to eat the shells.

In this video with the YouTube-channel ZAGAT chef Aquagrill Jeremy Marshall shows you the best methods of eating shrimp cooked four different ways. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Shrimp Cocktail : Most of the shell has already been removed, so grab the tail with your fingers, dip it and eat the whole shrimp in one bite. To get the tail meat, pinch it by gently pulling with your teeth.
  • Butterfly Shrimp: For the most part, treat shrimp and shrimp in the same way. To eat a butterfly shrimp, grasp the tail with your fingers and use a small fork to remove all the meat from the shell. Repeat the same with the other half.
  • Tempura Shrimp: When the shrimp is fried like tempura, you can eat the shell . No peeling is required. Grab the shrimp and crunch. You can even grab hold of the head.
  • Whole grilled shrimp: Unscrew the head, then suck all the meat and juices out of it. Then, either eat the whole shrimp, with the shells and everything else, or peel off the shell with your fingers. In any case, there is no need for a knife and fork.

Whether it’s barbie prawns or deep-fried prawns in batter, now you’re ready to start your prawn feast.
