Highway at Night Desktop
Reader Sebastian has introduced this beautiful desktop to our desktop showcase , and the combination of wallpapers and a few tasteful skins gives a solid, crisp look. This is how he arranged it all.
First of all, Sebastian used Rainmeter to get this look, and we’ve just updated our Rainmeter guide so you have something to check out if you want to start customizing it.
Once you’ve downloaded it and become familiar with how it works, here’s what you’ll need to make it look like yours:
- City highway, night, wallpapers
- Tool setting and monitoring system for Rainmeter for Windows
- Rainmeter ClearText Widget for Music Lyrics
- Cover Rainmeter Widget for Now Playing Artwork
- Cowon Clock Skin for Rainmeter for the clock in the upper right corner
- Circle Launcher Skin for Rainmeter for Office Icons in Bottom Left
- A Simplic skin for displaying the weather on his tablet, which serves as a second screen thanks to Duet Display, our favorite app for turning an iPad into a second screen .
You can check out this iPad as a second screen at the link below, but beyond that, it’s a simple, neatly customized look that doesn’t require a lot of moving parts to bring it to life. This is partly why we like it so much. If you have questions about your own desktop or how to make your desktop look like this, click on the link below and check it out on Sebastian Kinja’s blog. Be sure to let him know how much you – and we – love how it all turned out!
Do you have a beautiful and functional desktop to show off? Share with us! Post it to your personal Kinja blog using the Desktop Showcase tag or add it to our Lifehacker Desktop Show and Tell Flickr pool . Screenshots must be at least 1280×720 and include information about what you used, links to wallpapers, skins and themes, and any other important information. If your wonderful desktop catches our attention, you may be on our favorites!
