DOE DIY Projects Reduce Energy Consumption in Your Home
If you own a home, there are many small ways to improve your home for long-term energy savings that will cut your utility bills. The Department of Energy has an entire page dedicated to eight of these projects with detailed guidelines.
On the DOE website below, you will find eight guidelines for home improvement projects, such as sealing air leaks with sealant or insulating a water heater tank. Each guide contains step-by-step instructions. Some, like the one above, even come with a video to show you what you are doing. All of these projects are part of an overall US Department of Energy Energy Conservation program aimed at reducing energy consumption in the United States. Check out the full list of projects below.
