Turn Your Wire Hanger Into a Book Holder
Book holders are useful for supporting cookbooks, music books, or even a regular book as you read, cook, or just want to display pages. If you have a wire hanger, you can make a sturdy book stand in less than a minute.
You will need a wire hanger and pliers. If you can’t watch the demo in the video above, here’s what to do. Grasp the hanger with your hands on either side of the hook and squeeze the top and bottom of the hanger together. Fold the sides down to create an upside-down U shape. Use a pair of pliers to close the ends of the hanger tightly, then fold the last half inch of the hanger up. Move the wire up another half inch and bend it again to form a “leg” of the stand that will hold each side of your book. Repeat on the other side. Rotate the hook so that it faces you, fold the end into a tighter hook and attach to the wire that used to be the bottom of the hanger. You can also use this tablet stand, just adjust the wire to fit.
