Chrome Has the Option to Export Passwords, Here’s How to Enable It
We’ve mentioned over and over that Chrome’s password manager is not very secure , but it was never easy to heed this advice unless you wanted to start from scratch. Ghacks points to an experimental feature where you can enable the ability to export passwords.
All you need to do to enable is enter chrome://flags
in the address bar and search for “Import / Export Password”. Set this switch to the “on” position and restart your browser. Then chrome://settings/passwords
in chrome://settings/passwords
(or Menu> Settings> Advanced Settings> Manage Passwords) and click the Export button. This will export your passwords as a plain text CSV file that is fairly easy to transfer to any other password manager you need . Some password managers have import capabilities right from Chrome, but this gives you a little more control over the process.
