Etcher Is the Easiest Way to Make a Raspberry Pi SD Card
Windows / Mac / Linux: While it has become easier to create a Raspberry Pi SD card over the years, it’s still a bit confusing for people new to the idea of capturing images. Etcher is a cross-platform tool that greatly simplifies the process.
Etcher can indeed create a bootable SD card from any operating system image, but we’ll use it for Raspberry Pi images more than anything else. Just download the Etcher version for your operating system, launch it, select the IMG file you want to burn, select your SD card and wait. It’s just silly and ensures that you don’t accidentally erase your local hard drive instead of your SD card.
