Netflix Has More Fake New Years Countdowns to Show Your Kids This Year
For several years now, Netflix has been providing kids with fake New Years countdowns so you can put them to bed early and enjoy an adult-only party. They are back this year with tons of new videos.
To find a countdown that you can start at any time, search for Countdown on Netflix. Then, a few hours before midnight, you can tell your child it’s almost time to count down to the new year and watch one of ten Netflix videos. Each video is between one and five minutes long. Once they’re ready, put the kids to bed and enjoy a real kid-free party. The videos feature characters from a variety of children’s shows, including the following:
- Chasing Cameron
- Fuller House
- Troll hunters
- Mc2 project
- Skylanders academy
- Glory to King Julian (from the Madagascar franchise)

While some are specifically designed to cross-promote Netflix originals (like Fuller House and Chasing Cameron ), parents will likely be able to find at least one or two that their kids will recognize.
