Slice Festive Shape Frozen Whipped Cream for Winter Presentation

Freezing unused whipped cream is a great way to preserve it for later use, but it also allows you to slice it into adorable holiday shapes, perfect for filling warm, rich cocoa mugs.

I’ll let the incomparable Justin Chapple walk you through the process in the video above, but all you need is whipped cream ( actually whipped, not aerosol), a baking sheet with foil, and a freezer. Place the cream in a half-inch layer in a skillet and freeze for an hour until firm. Remove the skillet from the freezer, cut stars, Santa hats or Stars of David into cookie cutters and place these tasty little figurines in coffee, cocoa, or whatever hot drink you want.
