Most Popular Programming Languages Based on Jobs, Search Engines, Etc.
There is no rule that says you should learn the most popular programming languages, but if you want to make a living programming it can be helpful to know what is in demand and what is trending.
On ZDNet, David Geewirtz , a computer scientist, educator, journalist and author, tried to identify the most popular programming language – and what it really means. Using data from the PYPL , which looks at the popularity of language guides on Google, Tiobe , which uses search engine aggregates to determine popularity, and IEEE Jobs, IEEE Open, and IEEE Trending is a great resource we’ve shared before, Geewirtz has developed a fairly extensive list. :

- JavaScript

- PHP
- Fast
- Objective-C
- R
Programming languages also seemed to be grouped into major, minor, and third level languages. By far the most popular have been Java, C, Python, and C ++. Javascript, C #, PHP and Swift made it into the second most popular group. And Objective-C and R were the third level. Geewirtz recommends that aspiring programmers start with C ++ or Java and then move on to JavaScript. After that, you can move on to PHP, Swift, or Python, depending on what you want to do.
