BW Dance Turns Music Into Vibrations and Visualizations for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
iOS / Android: The great thing about music is that you can hear it, but in a way, you can also feel it. BW Dance turns music into vibrations and flashing lights so that deaf and hard of hearing people can visualize, feel and dance to the music.
Vitaly Potapchuk, one of the co-founders of the app, explained its essence via Product Hunt:
I am a deaf developer and my closest circles are also deaf (including my wife). I created the BW Dance app to bring a “feel” of rhythm through vibrations and flashing lights to our silent world. Our deaf community has many limitations, and with this application one can be overcome.
The application is easy to use. After you download it to your smartphone, you simply add songs from your device. Select a song, hit the play button, and the app will display the music with a ring of light and send vibration to your phone along with the rhythm of the song. As you can see in the video above, this allows you to follow the song and dance to it even if you can’t hear it. Check out the app at the links below and visit the Product Hunt page for more details.
