Decorate the Tree With Candy Garlands

There is a certain nostalgic charm about stringing popcorn onto holiday garlands, but it’s not the only treat to garnish. To add color (and sweetness) to your Christmas tree (or Hanukkah bush), string some candy in it.

Gummies work really well, but The Kitchn has a whole host of sweet ideas, including:

  • Marshmallows: Freeze them first to make the string less sticky.
  • Wrapped Truffles : Thread the needle through the cellophane. (Eat a couple of times each time you walk by.)
  • Licorice rods: cut into several different colors and flavors and thread through their already hollow centers.
  • Rescuers: there are already holes!

You can find most of these chocolates at your grocery store, but if you’re having trouble finding specific ones (like holiday green mint leaves ), take a look at Nuts.com for all sorts of sweet options.
