These Three Questions Will Help You Reflect on and Reflect on Your Work This Year.
Looking back over the past year, you will be able to understand where you want to spend your time and energy in the next year, whether it is continuing your successes or remembering the lessons you learned from your failures. To look back, ask yourself these three questions.
In the video above, Marie Forleo goes into detail on each of the following questions and how you should use them to prepare for a strong start to next year.
- What are you really proud of this year? This can be anything from a hobby project to a promotion, fitness training, or reaching a financial goal. Even if you haven’t had the best year, you probably have some achievement you can remind yourself of to motivate yourself in the new year.
- What have you learned from your mistakes? Everyone makes mistakes, and thinking about how you can turn those mistakes into lessons for the future illuminates them in a more positive light.
- What are you ready to let go of? Maybe the goal you set at the beginning of the year wasn’t as important to you, or maybe the group or activity you used to enjoy doesn’t give you the same pleasure it used to.
The end of one year and the beginning of another are one of the best times to set goals or start a new venture, but that doesn’t mean you should only focus on new ideas. This is a time for change, so use it to realign where you focus your energy, which can mean giving up things that are no longer worth your time.
