Instagram gives you more control over the comments that appear under your photos. Soon you will be able to completely disable comments on featured posts, as well as like individual comments, just like on Facebook. About this and much more in today’s news.
- After a few weeks, you can turn off comments on Instagram posts if you don’t want someone to voice their thoughts. If your account is private, you can also remove followers you previously approved – obviously a necessary feature that hasn’t been used so far. - In other news, Apple is finally rolling out its “single sign-on” feature, which allows you to enter your cable provider’s credentials just once in order to use all relevant apps. But there are caveats: only a few vendors are currently supported, it really only works with some apps, it doesn’t always work with the tvOS and iOS versions of certain apps, and many big players like HBO are missing. … So Apple still has a lot of work to do. - Dropbox Pro and Business users can now upload the entire folder to the mobile app to continue working offline. Previously, you had to mark individual files for download, but now you can simply assign an entire folder (if you are a paid customer). [Dropbox Blog]
- Netflix is adding video previews to some shows and movies. They are also very adamant that these are not trailers or teasers. This is a preview of the video! And they are designed to highlight the “story, characters and tone” of select shows. However, you will not see them online; video previews are for Netflix TV interfaces like Roku and game consoles.
