Join Lets You Control Your Phone From Your Desktop Using Voice Commands

Android / Chrome: When you’re at your desktop, you don’t want to mess with your phone all the time. Join, you can control your phone without picking it up, and now you can even use voice commands to do so.

Join, the developer of most of your favorite Tasker plugins , is a combination of a Chrome extension and an Android app. From Chrome, you can send commands to your phone that will run automatically. The latest update allows you to control your phone using voice commands, such as the following:

  • Paste this into my Nexus 5 while there is a tab on the webpage.
  • Say hello! after you receive a new text message
  • Call my device for your phone to ring
  • Write hello on my Nexus 6 to write hello on your Android device
  • Self-Walking Dog Note to create a notification on your device with the text ” Walk the Dog”
  • It would be great if you could start capturing screen on my precious and awesome Nexus 5 to start capturing your Nexus 5 screen.

A Chrome extension can activate when you say a specific activation phrase (by default, it is “Computer”), or you can activate voice commands using a keyboard shortcut.
