Adjust the Height of Tall People in Photos by Spreading Their Legs
Usually, when you take a portrait photo of two people and one of them is significantly taller, you end up with something like an apple box that a smaller person can stand on. But what if there is nothing at hand? To adjust the taller person’s height without bending, ask them to spread their legs.
As photographer Peter Hurley demonstratesin this video , a taller person doesn’t need to bend awkwardly to be on the same level if he just spreads his legs. Yes, it looks downright silly, so it only works if you shoot their portrait from the waist up or if you later crop the photo. But this is an easy way to close up the difference in height that would otherwise make the pose difficult.
