Angular Blue Workspace
Redditor Tech__ just created a new workspace, and it’s gorgeous, blue and inconspicuous, connected via Google FIber. We’re pretty sure they work at Google too. Let’s see a few more photos.
The blue ambient lighting is no doubt harsh enough, but the dual display is pretty good too, along with a matching LED strip on the underside of the PC on the right. Don’t miss the well-placed Rainmeter widget in the corner, as well as the Blue Snowball microphone set there for calling and podcasting. I see more and more people using this sound absorbing foam on the walls around their computers, and I dig it. Seems to be working well. But let’s look at the table surface specifically:
Aside from the fact that the original post was titled “Googler’s Battle Station”, you can see where we get the impression that Tech__ is at Google, right? This massive Steelseries pad is not bad either. Here’s the setup:
i5-4690K @ 4.4GHz Cooler Hyper EVO 212 EVGA GeForce GTX 980 16GB RAM 1600MHz Intel 730 240GB SSD1 + 2TB HDD Storage NZXT S340 White Case
BlackWidow Logitech G502 Razor Snow BlueSteelseries Siberia V2
And another shot of the whole setting with an L-shaped table and a feline companion:
The table is an IKEA mod that Tech__ points out consists of two of them, joined together by legs moved (using wider countertops). And adhering to the 16: 9 aspect ratio helps too! Include a little text about what you used, how you came up with the design, and any other important details. If your smart organization and good design flair are striking, you could be the next workplace ambassador!
