Instagram Adds Live Video and Disappearing Messages
Instagram today announced two big new features for its apps: live video and disappearing messages.
To start live streaming, simply swipe to the right of the feed and click the Start Live Video button. In terms of watching live video, if someone you are following is live, you will see a small “live” button in the stories panel. Live streaming of the video will begin in the next few weeks.
If you prefer to send a message that gets deleted after a certain amount of time, you can also do that now. When you swipe right to open the camera and take a photo or video, you will be able to send a disappearing message, just like in Snapchat. You can view this channel of disappearing messages from your mailbox. Disappearing photos and videos should be on sale within today.
