AirDroid 4 Lets You Share Files With Nearby Friends Without an Internet Connection
Android: AirDroid is one of our favorite Android companion apps and it is now getting a pretty big update. The coolest new feature lets you share files with people near you, even if you don’t have an internet connection.
The new AirDroid Nearby feature allows you to search for other AirDroid users near you. Once you have established a connection, you can directly transfer files between your devices. If you don’t have Wi-Fi, you can use the Initiate option to create a direct connection between your devices and start moving files in this way.
The new AirDroid also comes with an updated interface, some speed improvements and some remote control features. You can now remotely log out of accounts using AirDroid and choose which screens should display your mirrored text and phone call notifications. Check out the full release notes below.
