Add an Alarm to Your Mini Fridge to Catch Snacks Thieves on the Spot
If you’ve just moved into a hostel, or have a cunning roommate who loves to steal your sodas, you’ve probably gone away and tried to put your name on everything. Arrow Electronics decided to catch the thief with an alarm system.
The alarm system runs on a Raspberry Pi and uses a sensor so it knows when to take a picture with the Pi’s camera. When he takes a photo, you will receive an email (or video, if you like). It’s a silly setup, but it certainly does the trick. You can find everything you need to do it yourself in the videos above andabove on GitHub .
