Prevent the Almond Butter Pie From Getting Wet
The wet bottom of the crust is the enemy of the perfect apple pie, but just a little almond butter can prevent your precious dough from spoiling the juicy filling.
Just double crust as usual (see the link below for a great recipe), and after you’ve rolled out the bottom crust, roll some almond paste into a thin disc and press it onto the top of the dough. Fill the cake as usual, place another crust on top and bake as usual.
