It’s that time of year again: Halloween is approaching and it’s time to reveal our dark side. Welcome to the seventh annual Lifehacker Evil Week.
The very idea of ”evil” is somewhat ironic, but one common theme unites most of the topics that we consider: knowledge is power, and it depends on you whether you use this power for good or for evil. Sometimes evil is justified, and sometimes understanding it can help you fight evil. Learning how to crack passwords will teach you security techniques. A better understanding of lies and manipulation gives you the ability to detect such tactics (or use them in situations where it is actually the lesser of two evils).
This week we’ll cover a wide range of dark side topics in life hacking and even share a couple of our favorite evil posts from the past. There is a time and a place for bad behavior, and it is right here and now. Join us as we announce another Wicked Week.
