This Muffin Recipe Works With Any Mixes You Have on Hand or Want to Add.
Everyone should have a muffin recipe, bonus points if the recipe can be endlessly adaptable. This muffin recipe (link below) is not only super simple, but it accommodates 1 1/2 cups of whatever mixes you can think of, allowing you to choose your own muffin adventure.
Check out The Kitchn for the full story, but you probably already have all the ingredients in your pantry. Next, you just need to mix your dry ingredients, mix the wet ingredients, and then mix the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients. Once this is all done, you’re ready to mix, and The Kitchn just has some great suggestions:
- Cherry Chocolate: Soak 3/4 cup dried cherries in warm water, drain and add 3/4 cup dark chocolate to the finished dough.
- Coffee muffins: Add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg to the dry ingredients. Place the bottom streusel filling on the muffins before baking.
- Funfetti Cupcakes: Add 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract to the wet mixture. Add 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles to the dough.
Don’t be limited to sweet ingredients; The spicy cheese olive muffin sounds good and I wouldn’t mind the bacon muffin for breakfast.
