These Savory Cards Can Help You Support Your Cancer Friends
It’s hard to know what to say when a friend is faced with a truly dire illness or loss. And a lot of what we blurt out may end up feeling more hurtful than we think. That’s why we love this series of flashcards that say what people who are sick and grieving really want to hear.
For example, one says, “Please let me be the first to hit the next person who tells you that everything is happening for a specific reason.” Another in the same spirit says: “When life gives you lemons, I will not tell you the story of a friend of my cousin who died of lemons.”
It’s unlikely that scrolling through a directory of greeting cards could also count as a lesson on how to support people in difficult times, but it almost fits the bill. One card simply says , “I’m really sorry I didn’t get in touch. I didn’t know what to say. ” Check out the link below to find out more.
