Practice Mindfulness With a Daily Check
Mindfulness is a powerful habit that can help you cope with important things, like sticking to your goals or relieving tension with your partner . It can also be beneficial on a daily level to improve your health, but only if you practice it. Here’s one daily approach.
Even if you only have a few minutes to check your mindfulness, divide them into these three parts to make the most of your time. It’s not about analyzing during testing, but about focusing and acknowledging.
- Emotions : How do you feel at this moment? Anxious? Calm? You may be surprised at how stressed you are in general or not, even when you’re not thinking or doing anything special.
- Mental state : where is your mind? Are you struggling to register? Focus on acknowledging your thoughts and then letting them fly out of your head. Mindfulness is not about emptying the mind, but about training the ability to focus on or let go of certain feelings or thoughts.
- Physical : How do you feel physically? Are your shoulders tense or are your eyebrows furrowed? Become aware of how your body is feeling and narrow it down to tight parts, and then relax them as you test.
Mindfulness can be difficult, but the only way to get better is through frequent practice. Structure your checks to focus on the aforementioned three areas and you will have meaningful and well thought out practice.
