Android N-Ify Update Brings Google Assistant to Marshmallow Devices
Officially, if you want the new Google Assistant , you need to buy a Pixel phone . It is unofficially enabled on any device with Nougat . The Android N-ify Xposed module can now be used even on older Marshmallow devices.
We’ve previously covered the Android N-ify module as it brings some of the nifty features from Android Nougat to Marshmallow devices. Now, a recent update adds an Assistant to the mix. There are a few caveats, however. First, as with all Xposed modules , you will need root access on your phone . The developer who added this tweak to the module, Max Rumpf , says this will probably only work in version 6.6.14.21 of the Google app in arm, arm64 and x86 flavors. If all of this doesn’t make sense to you, you can postpone and wait for a less complicated setup (or perhaps an official release). If you like Xposed and are setting up your device, please visit the download link below to get started.
