Make Frozen Fries That Are Even Better Than Store Bought

Frozen, store-bought fries are very convenient, but you can easily make them yourself. Home fries from the freezer is not only cheaper than its counterparts from the grocery store, but you know exactly what it includes, and it is a little better taste.

Click the link below for full instructions from The Kitchn , but all you need are potatoes, vegetable oil, and a pot of salt water. Slice the potatoes into French fries (I’m sure you know what that looks like), cook for a couple of minutes, then transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking. Drain, pat dry, stir in butter, and freeze in one layer on a parchment baking sheet overnight. When they are completely frozen, transfer them to a plastic bag and place everything in the freezer until you are ready to eat. (These frozen fries can be stored for up to six months, but I doubt they last that long.)
