You Can Adjust the Brightness of the Flashlight in IOS 10
The latest iOS update brought some big changes to iMessage , but of course that’s not all Apple has updated. One feature you might have overlooked? You can now adjust the brightness level of the flashlight if you have an iPhone with 3D Touch support.
Typically, the iPhone’s flashlight is quite bright, which can be useful in some situations, but can also cause pain when you don’t need that much light. As AddictiveTips points out, the fix is now fairly straightforward. Here’s how it’s done:
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center. The brightness is controlled by 3D touch, so instead of pressing the flashlight button, press it to register the 3D touch. A 3D Touch menu appears with three options; Low, medium and bright light. Tap any of these options to turn on the flashlight. Depending on which option you choose, the flashlight will be correspondingly bright or dim.
Of course, this feature is only available on iPhones that are truly equipped for 3D Touch (iPhone 6S and up). To find out more, head over to their original post at the link below.
