Why Many Good Looking People Seem to Be Assholes
It seems that the world is filled to the brim with assholes with perfect bodies and beautiful faces, but this is not so simple. While it’s easy to blame nice people for being angry, the truth is that your own biases manipulate your perceptions.

Basically, it all comes down to who you subconsciously consider worthy of your attention. The world is full of good cute people, good people, good ugly people and evil ugly people, but you are blocking some of these people. We tend to naturally filter out people who don’t have at least one quality that can be extinguished.
Chances are, you only notice the pretty ugly people, the pretty pretty people, and you mean the pretty people, because they each have at least one quality to compensate for. “This person may be ugly, but he is really good” or “This person is a moron, but at least he looks good.” Vile ugly people, on the other hand, get lost on the air because your subconscious mind decides that there is nothing in them that can be redeemed (who is such a moron now?). When all is said and done, the only people who pay attention to it are the attractive ones. So it’s not that nice people turn out to be jerks, it’s just that you notice them more often.
