Moisturize First to Make the Cologne Last Longer, Do Not Bathe in It
Putting on some scent early in the day and expecting it to stay throughout the day and at the evening event is a bit of a daunting task, but IAmAlphaM’s Aaron Marino has a very simple (and almost obvious) trick. to help it last longer – and thankfully, it’s not just “just apply more.” Moisturize.
It’s actually pretty simple. If you moisturize your face before applying cologne or other scent, it evaporates more slowly and stays on longer, so you don’t have to apply more or overwhelm everyone around you. Since cologne and other fragrances are a dilution of the fragrance with water and alcohol , just moisturize first and then apply the fragrance (or even some aftershave if you rely on it for all your pleasant scents) instead of applying it correctly. outside the shower or immediately after shaving.
