ReachOut Is a Social Support Network for People With Mental and Chronic Conditions

iOS / Android: If you have a health condition that you can’t talk to friends and family about, ReachOut is an app that provides a social support network to help you cope. It aims to convert those well-meaning but empty “are you okay?” questions in “I’m here for you. I understand.”

The app is free, easy to set up and has a clean interface. When you create an account, you choose the issues you face, which may be related to battling cancer, diabetes, heart disease, mental illness , substance abuse, or recent death. In the main feed, you can scroll through the stories and conversations of other users who are experiencing similar difficulties, or contact you to offer you support. If a particular conversation or person resonates with you, you have the option to “tag” or save the conversation or person.

In general, it’s just a support network, but if your problems make you feel lonely, a support network is exactly what you need.
