Google Contacts Gets Improved Shortcuts, Duplicate Controls, and More
Android: The Google Contacts app is handy, but has always been a little boring. It’s a little better now with easier ways to manage shortcuts and remove duplicates from lists.
The old Contacts app had two very simple lists: one for my favorites and one for everyone. You will now see an embedded favorites at the top of your contact list. You can also slide down the left navigation bar to scroll through shortcuts, switch accounts, and access settings. At the top, you’ll also see the option to view and merge duplicate contacts. This is a small update, but it brings some welcome changes.
