Make Decadent Protein Powder Chocolate Pudding and Avocado
When I think of chocolate pudding, I usually mean a powdery mixture, a liquid consistency in portable small containers, or a ton of whipping and stirring. But not this one. No, this is a sumptuous creamy pudding rich in protein and healthy fats.
Ripe avocado forms the base of the pudding. You need it to create a decadent mouthfeel. Along with the avocado, you will need about two tablespoons of cocoa powder, one scoop of chocolate whey protein powder, and a ripe banana or a couple of seedless dates as a sweetener.
Mix them all by hand or, if using dates, using a blender. If the consistency is too viscous for you, add a few tablespoons of milk. Refrigerate the mixture for about 20 minutes and enjoy.
Its rich chocolate flavor will help curb any food cravings, but this recipe is high in calories. Banana or dates are optional if you want to cut calories somewhere, but you may want another sweetener (if you don’t like the strong bitterness of cocoa). Although this comes out to be two servings, it is admittedly very difficult not to inhale whole. So if that doesn’t quite fit into your plan, you can substitute low-fat cottage cheese for the avocado.
