Tasks, a Near-Perfect Astrid Clone, Now Includes Themes, Google Task Sync, Tags, and More
Android: It’s been a long time since we signed up for Tasks , a clone of the long- forgotten but not forgotten open source Astrid to do app. Tasks, too, have come a long way and are more powerful than ever, and are still free to download and use.
Some major recent updates to Tasks include the addition of day and night themes, as well as a bundle of additional themes (all available for a single two-dollar in-app purchase), and the ability to tag your tasks. Google Keep style with custom color accents for these tags. For those people who like quick access to their tasks, the home screen widget has been updated to support all of these themes and colors and has a transparency slider so you can display it in context on your desktop if you want. Likewise, the app still supports some of the features that made Astrid so good in her day, including location-based reminders, smart repetitive tasks, and a beautiful clean layout.
Other than that, the app is still completely free, and although the developer tells me he’s working on his own web app and to-do sync framework, I’m very happy with the app’s current ability to sync with Google Tasks, which is pretty good. good time slot. The application is, as always, free, at the link below.
