Enjoy Your Stay by Planning It Like a Trip
Camping is a great way to take a break from work while saving some money and can be as enjoyable as your regular vacation. But your weekend can turn into a boring week of sitting in front of the TV if you don’t plan accordingly.
Ruth McMahon explains to Fast Company that if you want to truly relax, planning your stay is just as important as planning your regular vacation. Imagine that you are traveling somewhere and you have to put together a free route. Plan hikes, spa days, dining out with friends, day trips in the surrounding area, and museum visits. You don’t have to overdo it and tire yourself – if, after all, it should be a little relaxing – but the small structure of your vacation at home can really boost the fun factor. You will return to work more refreshed and feel like you’ve been wasting your days on the couch for a reason.
